Dr. Mersy Goodson, PhD
Founder and CEO of Herb & Soul — a modern herbal apothecary rooted in love, science, and ancestral wisdom.
I started Herb & Soul in February 2024, in the heart of Huntsville, Alabama, out of a deep desire to heal naturally after years of leaning on medicine that treated symptoms but not the source. Over the summer, Herb & Soul found its new home in the Kentuckiana area, where I continue to blend purpose with plants, one remedy at a time.
By trade, I’m a Ph.D. in Applied Physics with a concentration in Materials Science — but my true work is connecting the science of healing with the spirit of nature. My journey with herbs began as personal therapy, a way to manage pain and allergies without prescriptions. What started as experimentation became devotion — and eventually, a business built on the belief that the Earth provides everything we need to restore balance.
Herb & Soul exists to make holistic healing accessible, approachable, and soulful. Every tea, tincture, and ritual I create is designed to help you reconnect — to your body, your intuition, and your peace.
